Track Name: Carousel
One of these days,
I’ll stop chasing fairytales for a change.
And it won’t seem so strange,
When I won’t have to vanish,
Like footprints in the sands anymore.

‘Cause I’m at the mercy of time and love,
Drifting like a stone, staring down a waterfall.
But I’ll make like a butterfly soaring through a hurricane,
Searching for a smile,
Maybe she smiled them all?

And one of these nights,
I’ll stop shaking the hands of ghosts for a change.
And it won’t seem so strange,
When I won’t have to fight,
The twists and twirls of this carousel anymore.

‘Cause I’m at the mercy of time and love,
Drifting like a stone, staring down a waterfall.
But I’ll make like a butterfly soaring through a hurricane,
Searching for a smile,
You know, I think she smiled them all.

I hope she hasn’t smiled them all…
Track Name: Escape The Rain
Well she knows why I never call,
But it’s just gonna take a while.
‘Cause this warmth is counterfeit you know,
But how long is a little while?
I’m trading these wheels for wings,
Well I’ve gotta disappear.
‘Cause there’s no aces in my sleeve tonight,
No, I’ve got no magic here.

And I can’t stop my head from spinning,
My brain from bleeding and my feet from itching,
No I wanna escape the rain.
I don’t wanna hit the glass ceiling,
My heart’s still healing; it’s a frustrating feeling,
I wanna escape the rain…

And I’m caught beneath the moon glow once again,
Shuffling by the water’s edge.
‘Well even a smile would do for now?’
But you know I just can’t see it through.

And I can’t stop my head from spinning,
My brain from bleeding and my feet from itching,
No I wanna escape the rain.
I don’t wanna hit the glass ceiling,
My heart’s still healing; it’s a frustrating feeling,
I wanna escape the rain…

And I’m walking home again,
I’m walking that night away.
It’s gonna take a little while,
But how long is a little while?
Track Name: Devils
Let me meet you in the morning,
Let me meet you when your cards aren’t in play.
And with vacant eyes, I’ll witness it all,
Hyenas; I’m tearing up my memories.

‘Cause I’ve struggled in the shadows,
As your laughter echoes in the night.
And when you’re stranded in the darkness,
I’m glad there’s no photographs to show.

And that optimism, well it scars the air,
While the moon lights the way.
But you’re choked into submission,
By the frustration of it all.

And you may smile like an angel,
And they’ve embraced that fantasy.
Pretty imagery, such pretty trickery,
A crowd of a kind, you keep good company.

And that optimism, well it scars the air,
While the moon lights the way.
But you’re choked into submission,
By the frustration of it all.

But I wanna stop feeling like this,
Yeah, I need to stop feeling like this.
And I wanna stop feeling like this,
Yeah, I wanna stop feeling like…

But I need a little help; I can’t do it alone,
I need a little help; I can’t do it alone.
I need a little help; I can’t do it alone,
Yeah, I need a little help; I can’t do it alone.

I need a little help; won’t you please help me see?
Won’t you show me, won’t you show me…
Track Name: Ghosts
Well you know you can cry if you want to,
But I don’t think you should,
‘Cause I’ll kiss the crystals from your eyes.
And you know those silver streaks,
Well, they don’t suit your cheeks,
But you can’t kiss my mouth free of lies.
‘Cause when the clouds kidnap the moon,
And they take her from view,
Well, you know she’s never really gone for good.
And I wish I could say the same for me,
And while I’m older, I’m still naïve,
But I’m still dreaming of the Mississippi.

‘Cause it’s cold in Barcelona,
It’s cold on Royal Avenue,
And I just wanna escape the grey.
And to dance in the moonlight,
Like a nostalgic ghost on a Summer night,
And throw my wishes at the Pacific.
I’ll drink up every drop,
When I find that ocean of luck,
But is luck just an excuse to blame the hurt?
As I sit and skim these stones,
I feel the cold cut through my bones,
And stare out at the darkness in front of me.

Well you know you can cry if you want to,
But I don’t think you should,
‘Cause I’ll kiss those crystals from your eyes.
And maybe we’ll dance in the moonlight,
Like two ghosts on a Summer night,
But have you ever seen a ghost before?
‘Cause I’ve never seen a ghost,
Dancing in the moonlight,
No, I’ve never seen a ghost.
No, I’ve never seen a ghost,
No, I’ve never seen a ghost…
Track Name: All The Colours Fade
I held the sun in my eyes,
I could light up the shade.
With the sun in my eyes,
I could light up the shade.
Until you left me all alone,
To watch the colours fade.

And I felt roses at my feet,
I never felt afraid.
To feel roses at my feet,
I never felt ashamed.
Until you left me all alone,
To watch the colours fade.

‘Cause there was magic in the morning,
Magic on the promenade.
Yeah, there was magic in the morning,
Magic on the promenade.
Until you left me all alone,
To watch the colours fade.
Track Name: Shadows
I saw your shadow passing by,
Shimmering in an alleyway.
While the sketch artist lay on a cobbled street,
Painting portraits of people on a sheet.

I was among the crowd that gathered and stared,
In confusion as you lay bare.
‘Cause the painter when he painted you,
It was a depiction that I never knew.

Well I saw your shadow passing by,
Weeping in that alleyway.
‘Cause with your beauty so precious,
I know you realize…
Track Name: When The Sun Goes Down
You’re looking straight at me,
As you slump with your back to the wall.
Studying all the people passing by,
Gesturing with a cup in your hand.
As obscurity takes your face,
You’re grasping for grace,
While you lie, just lie in the sun.

And when you slip within your mind,
Do you attempt to live out what you desire?
Attempt to find some form of release?
And you’ll mumble and you’ll curse,
As we divert our eyes,
From your bed, from your sanctuary.

And you’re all alone,
When the sun goes down.
Yeah, you’re all alone,
When the sun goes down.

And someone tosses you coins,
As you stumble towards, a group of schoolgirls.
And they scatter; I can see the horror in their eyes,
Repulsed by your ways and frightened for their lives.
But when you pass, they all begin to laugh,
And go on their merry way home from school.

You’re looking straight at me,
But I can only imagine how you feel,
And what goes on within your mind?
But as I walk on by, we all walk on by,
As you lie, just lie in the sun.

And you’re all alone,
When the sun goes down.
Yeah, you’re all alone,
When the sun goes down.
Track Name: Whispering In Manhattan
Well I’m leaning on a lamppost again,
And I feel like I’m whispering in Manhattan.
Looking down at my only friend,
And even he’s saying to me…
‘You’re chasing a rainbow you’ll never reach,
Don’t you know, we’ve spun our last speech?’
Well I wished it seemed that way to me,
I wish it seemed that way.

And you always seem to catch me in-between those words,
I wonder do you still see the sparkle in my eye?

But I’m back barking in the dark again,
And I’ll let these strings carry my tears.
‘Cause even the moon and your smile,
Seem like nothing but pity to me.
And I’m trapped in that ‘eternal circle’ that he sang about,
And it makes no difference if I whisper or shout.
And I don’t see a rainbow that can pull me out,
You know, I used to know a rainbow.

And you always seem to catch me in-between those words,
I wonder do you still see the sparkle in my eye?

Well I’m leaning on a lamppost again,
And I feel like I’m whispering in Manhattan.
I feel like I’m whispering…
